Privacy Policy

This page explains what data One Way Decor collects and what we do with it. We are an editorial site with no shop and no checkout, so there is very little to collect.

Who we are

One Way Decor, at https://onewaydecor.com/. Privacy questions go to the contact page.

What you give us directly

If you email us we get whatever you wrote and your email address. We use it to reply and to fix whatever you flagged. We will not add you to a mailing list unless you ask.

If you comment on a post, WordPress stores the comment, the name and email you supplied, and your IP address and browser details for spam filtering. Comments are visible to anyone unless we decide otherwise.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting analytics to see which guides are useful, in aggregate. Which pages get read, which links get clicked. This site runs no advertising cookies, builds no advertising profile of you, and does not sell or share visitor data with advertisers.

Affiliate links and cookies

This site contains affiliate links, including to Amazon. When you click one, the retailer may set cookies in your browser to record that you arrived from us. Those cookies belong to the retailer and follow that retailer’s privacy policy, not ours.

We cannot see those cookies. We do not learn what you bought, what was in your basket, or how you paid. All we ever receive is an aggregate report saying a referral or sale happened, never who you are.

What that arrangement means for you is set out on our affiliate disclosure page.

Third parties

A small number of services run this site: hosting, spam filtering and analytics. Each handles only what it needs to do its job. We do not share your details with advertisers and have not turned on ad personalisation.

How long we keep things

Emails stay with us as long as it takes to deal with the matter. Published comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so we can recognise a follow-up from the same person.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may be able to ask us to show, correct or delete the data we hold about you, or to object to certain uses of it. Since we run no user accounts and no advertising profiles, we hold very little about any visitor. Requests go to the contact page.

Children

This site is not aimed at under-13s and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If what we do with data changes, this page gets updated. The date below is the most recent revision.
